2 Large Vintage Gothic Stained Glass Chandeliers 40's-50's Gilt Metal Medieval - $125 - (Eutawville, SC)
This is a matched pair of McFadden chandeliers that have probably hung around together since the 1950's, either in a church or someone's home where a Gothic or possibly Mediterranean/ Spanish style complimented their classical aesthetic. Due to size and material these are PICK-UP ONLY. 23" tall and 20" widest, (6) 10" panels of opaque white glass and a similar repeating but smaller row at bottom. There is a 6" metal canopy to attach over electrical box with one of the fixtures, the other is missing. Both have the attachments for ceiling and both have about16" matching chains for hanging. There are 4 porcelain sockets on each and they look fine for continued use, but have not tried to power and as a rule you should always have vintage fixtures checked before putting into service. In all, there are 18 glass panels in each fixture and no damage to any. Aside from the UL stickers, one of the lamps has a gold foil sticker "McFadden Lighting St. Louis MO." The bottom of fixture is flat textured clear glass which is in a hinged frame for opening to change light bulbs. Lamps are available for pick-up in Eutawville SC, about 20 minutes off I-95 at Santee exit #98 and halfway between Columbia and Charleston along I-26. Email with any questions and Thanks For Looking!
