did not clean up the lamp leaving that up to buyer I plugged in the lamp work and the switch worked as well the wire seems to be fine there is a little spot where the wrapping around the wire is frayed tried to get a photo of it I cant be 100% if the wire is messed up or not its hard to see with all it frayed but all the wiring can be replaced if needed one string on the boat seems to be broken but something that can be easily replace if you have any questions feel free to ask thanks and good luck no shipping outside us
