RARE 1890’s LOUIS PASTEUR-CHAMBERLAND FILTER CO., Dayton, Ohio Stoneware Pottery Crock This is an Antique Crock with Advertising stamped: PASTEUR, GERM PROOF FILTER, Pasteur- Chamberland Filter Co., DAYTON, OHIO I believe this company existed between 1880’s – 1890’s. This wonderful crock is15” tall with the lid on, 10” at its widest section, 7-3/4” wide across the top and has a 5-1/2” opening. The base is 9” across. You can see from the pictures the metal rod from the spout goes right to the top inside. This crock is complete with lid and metal spout. It is in great condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. There is some overlapping of lacquer on the inside bottom. The spout is slightly lose from age and normal use, the handle works fine. This item has been very well cared for as you can see in the pictures. We have taken a lot of pictures to show exact condition. A rare and unique addition to any Collector’s Crock Collection.
