This is an exceptional, hard to find Kerry ll. Oh my goodness! WHAT a wonderful saddle!! Gorgeous specialty German leather. In fabulous, not even broken in condition. Whoever is going to own this saddle is going to not only be thrilled but have a saddle that will break in to their conformation and last forever. Stubben Kerry ll 16.5 seat 32 cm (wide) tree serial #A 98043 E Stubben specifically chose a specialty leather named "Russian" leather for this saddle. The embossed pattern on the skirts and flaps was used to enhance grip. The pattern was designed resembling the bark of the Basswood tree. "Russian" leather Russia leather is a particular form of bark-tanned cow leather. It is distinguished by a later processing step, after tanning, where birch oil is worked into the rear face of the leather.
