ZAP #1 FILE COPY FIRST PRINT very scarce, low printing The 'holy grail' of UG comix Nov. 1967 Charles Plymell printing APEX NOVELTIES - Don Donahue CGC 9.0 with rare provenance letters from Donahue confirming Robert Crumb signature. The correspondence is on file with CGC. This insures the authenticity of the book. Printed by Charles Plymell in November 1967. Donahue did not have a printing press. So he bargained with Plymell for help. Plymell agreed as long as he could put his name on the back. Plymell later traded Donahue a tape recorder for his press and Apex Novelties printed subsequent issues. (see Jay Kennedy's Comic Guide) signed in 1968 by Crumb at Moe's Comic shop in S.F. at a rare event where Crumb was present (see clip of provenance letter) sent registered mail with tracking, expensive full insurance and signature verification for your safety, to 47 US states only. no overseas sales. no California sales. Note: because registered mail must be verified every step of the way this will take longer (7-10 days depending on zip code), but you will be assured of delivery I searched for the current price though a trusted comic seller. I was told this is what he would put the comic out for on his table at a current (2017) convention.
