11 RL Dresden Saxony Floral Hand Painted Gilded Dinner Plates * 9.75" - $480 - (Tolland, CT)

Here is a wonderful old set of eleven Dresden Saxony floral dinner (9.75") plates that are marked RL, which is a Dresden mark that has been unidentified even by astute collectors...one of which was nice enough to fill me in on the subject. There seem to be about four different floral arrangements, but each one is unique as they were hand painted. The edging has beautiful gilding and the plates have a beautiful scalloped edge and wavy interior. They were made in the late 1890's and are marked on the back with the style number "1024/556." There are two different backstamps within the set, but they all have the matching pattern number. One logo has the "RL" and the other is more rounded.
