A magnificent Hanoverian Georgian rat-tail sterling silver serving spoon (tablespoon) made by the silversmith Samuel Green of London in 1723. The marks are all well struck, with the date letter H for 1723, and the owner's initials are engraved to the handle in script. This wonderful spoon, which is in very good vintage condition, has a pronounced ridge to the handle, characteristic of spoons of the period. L: 7 5/8in/19.5cm; W: 47g. lj
