1965 BRONZE DECO FIGURE ON WOOD PLAQUE BY MALVINA HOFFMAN - $1,250 - (Westport, CT)

This is an original Bronze of a deco woman on a walnut wood plaque. Done by a famous sculptor Malvina Hoffman. It was done in 1965 by Medallic Art Co in NY. The plague is walnut wood. The bronze is signed on the front lower right side Malvina Hoffman. The back is signed Medallic Art Co. NY. There is also a presentation plaque on the front explaining why it was made. It was created in 1965 for The Coty American Fashion Criitics Award by Malvina Hoffman. The awards were all designed by Malvina Hoffman and varied from year to year from 1943-1984. They were discontinued in 1985 and are no longer available. The plaque measures 20" X `12". Malvina Hoffman is an accomplished sculptor and is well listed and represented in many museums. The condition is excellent.
