Paul Klee, Indianisch -1937, woven wool area rug by Ege Axminster, 71" x 108" - $1,200 - (Cedarburg, WI)

Here for your consideration we have a very hard to find, and very beautiful Paul Klee signed woven wool area rug by Ege Axminster of Denmark. The image is from Klees painting "Indianisch" which he did in 1937. The Rug measures 6 feet x 9 feet and is woven out of wool. It was professionally cleaned recently by Koshgarian of Hinsdale, illinois. There are no stains, no rips or tears or other damage on rug, and no offensive odors at all. This is a very high quality area rug in fantastic condition. Rug dosent have Axminsters tag on back side but through my investigation I was able to find two just like it that sold at auction. They were from Axminsters 20th century masters collection. Some of Axminsters Klee Rugs were numbered limited edition rugs, but I am not sure about this one. It might be more rare than I thought.
