Tom Sehloff is a master craftsman. His castings and pattern work are truly works of art. His creations remind me of what might have happened if Arcade or Hubley had told their best pattern makers to do whatever they wanted to, regardless of cost or complexity. His toys are magnificent and this one is a masterpiece! This lot is a 1935 Chrysler Airstream Land Yacht. Tom Sehloff married one of his 1935 Chrysler Airstreams to a Clipper travel trailer to create this magnificent motorhome! As far as I know, only two or three of these were built. He added a canopied back porch and a roof rack with two canoes and four paddles lashed onto it. Many years have passed, and I have downsized to the extent that some of the things I love have to go. It's better that this beautiful cast iron toy be enjoyed by someone rather than being packed away. Overall length of this toy is approximately 21 inches.
