Set of ten Bing & Grondahl Dinner plates, Flora Danica Type - $999 - (Boerne, TX)

Beautiful set of ten Bing and Grondahl hand painted dinner/service plates, 10 3/4 inches, mid century production. This is B and G's version of Flora Danica, but much less expensive, and much more rare. These are hard to find singly, let alone in a group this size. All ten are different, with the name of the flower written on the back. 7 of these plates are factory first; 3 are marked as seconds, but the reason is not obvious to me. The gold appears to be in pretty good shape--please examine the photos. Large white spots are from overhead lighting. I'm not a professional photographer! No cracks, chips or crazing. Hand wash please--these are hand painted. These would look absolutely fab in a china cabinet or on the wall! Or of course, on the table--I have never used them myself. That's why they are going--Hubby says that I have to start cooking more or we have to get rid of some dishes. Well. . . I don't take returns because I am downsizing. These are the vestiges of a rabid attachment to antique and collectible china. International buyers will use Ebay's Global shipping, which seems to work pretty well--I have sent fragile items all the way to Singapore and Indonesia with little to no difficulty. Domestically I prefer Fedex. Please buy these so I don't have to start cooking.
