This Olympus CHA Binocular Phase Contrast Microscope is used and in Excellent, Fully Restored ConditionPhase Contrast Objectives: 10X,40X -The Mechanical stage X-Y movement is tight and smooth. -The spring on slide holder has the proper tension. -The stage focus lock works properly, to insure the objectives do not hit the slide and stops when the sample is in focus. - The coarse focus tension adjustment is perfectly set (it can be adjusted to suit). - All mechanical and optical components were up to factory specification. -- The Phase Annuli in the condenser has been aligned, and the Olympus Technician made sure the centering mechanisms moved smoothly -- The Optics are free of any scratches and perform as if they were new. -- 6V, 10W Halogen Illumination--- The CHA was the top of the CH series that lasted from 1976 until 1986 ---The Turret Condenser has an opening for Brightfield (with Iris Diaphragm), Phase Rings for 10X, 20X, 40X , & 100X phase objectives. ---There are Four objectives on this microscope : 4X Brightfield, 10X Phase, 40X Phase and a HI 100X (normal, Brightfield) Tiyoda objective.The HI represents "Homogeneous" - Which means, that this 100X objective may be used with several other substances, besides the usual immersion oil. Water may be used, as well as glycerine, etc. --- WF 10X /18L Eyepieces (18mm field of view) (Pair) --- Right eyepiece has POINTER (best to have pointer in the tube without diopter) --- CH-BI45 Binocular Observation Tube with single diopter was taken apart and old grease was removed and new applied. So, the interpupillary distance adjustment moves smoothly. The Power cord shows no sign of wear.Also, If you need the instruction manuals , repair manuals, or other documents on Olympus microscopes from the past. There is a website that has it all.
