I actually rebuilt one using the windscreen and mic element into a PVC pipe and recycling the windscreen for the top and the mic cable out of a drilled out PVC cap end. A radio station I do voice work for was surprised with my mic recording comparison of a ribbon, a few Shures and my rebuild and in the blind recording like the original and my rebuilt best of the several mainstream mics.
