This would make a nice birthday present for someone born in 1935. NOTE: The US dollar has lost 97% of its value since 1935. It is now worth .03 cents per dollar. When I was growing up during the Second World War, I could mail a post card for one penny. Now it costs .34 to mail a post card. An ounce of Gold was $35.50. If you multiply $35.50 by 34 you get $1207 which is the approximate cost on an ounce of gold today. If you take the cost of this set $290.00 and multiply by .03 you get $8.70 in REAL MONEY. That sounds like a bargain for 82 year old coins that are Choice Brilliant uncirculated. Our paper money is almost worthless.
