Published in 1944 by Metz, Lorrain, France, the book is a soft cover measuring 5½ x 8 inches with 44 pages. This was printed for the soldiers and families of the 5th, as a souvenir recounting the history of the Division in World War II as it marched through Europe. The name of the soldier this belonged to, Hargus T. Brown of Cocoa, Florida is printed on the interior of the front cover, along with a list of the battles he was in: Normandy Invasion, Battle France, Battle of the Bulge, The Ruhr Pocket and Battle of Germany. Our research shows he was awarded a bronze star for heroism in September of 1944. It is in excellent gently used condition, the pages are clean and unmarked, the fold out map is in excellent condition except for wear along the edge that sticks out of the booklet.
