Yamaha C-6 Preamplifier - $275 - (Dickson, TN)
Up for consideration is a Yamaha C-6 preamplifier. I had 2 of these, the other one is sold. They were both used in my surround system on the preouts from my processor because it's output levels were not adjustable and some channels were louder than others, so these were used to cut back the output level before it went to the dedicated amplifiers that were driving each set of speakers, via the volume control and it worked excellent but now I have a different processor that the levels can be adjusted so these are no longer needed. The reason I mentioned that is because I never used the other functions like the equalizer or the turntable inputs which can accept moving coil or moving magnet. The unit is very presentable with a few nicks and scratches but overall in good shape considering it was made in the late 70's. The controls may need to be cleaned except the volume and balance which is all I used and there was no problem with them. The unit is all stock except for the bulbs which were replaced with LED's, I did change the power light with a blue one because I never liked the yellow one.
