Lovely Vintage Vaseline Opalescent Brides Bowl In Silverplate Frame Lovely vintage vaseline opalescent brides bowl in a silverplate frame. This measures 12" tall to the top of the silverplate frame and 10" at the widest part of the frame. The vaseline opalescent glass bowl measures 8 1/2" at the widest and 4 1/8" at the tallest. The bowl has a polished pontil on the bottom and is unmarked as to maker. The top edge has some remaining gold gilt, but has wear or loss to the gold. I attempted to black light this, which I show in my last photo. The bowl fits nicely in the silverplate frame, but I do not know if it is original to the frame. The silver plate frame is marked on the bottom Quadruple Plate 180 Hard White Metal and E G Webster Son NY. It has some etching on the bottom, which I can not read. I am thinking that this frame may have been resilvered ? Not sure. The frame and bowl weigh 3.6 lbs without packing materials. Very pretty vintage vaseline opalescent brides bowl !
