DescriptionBru Smiler/French Fashion size “A”-linen costume with bustle and black velvet cape This is a Bru Smiler with a perfect bisque head, original cork pate; original metal spring attachment to shoulder plate; kid body in excellent condition. Mohair wig with tiny curls, has been a replacement at some point in time. Her pate is original cork…note some paper residue from past storage. She stands about 11.5 inches tall. She has perfectly pierced ears without any damage. Vintage earrings are included. She has pale blue paperweight glass eyes in the original set. Her costume of vintage red and ecru linen has been reconstructed, based on the original cashmere costume, which was in very bad condition. Trims and lace from the original costume were reused. A black velvet cape with vintage lace trim and silk ties accompanies her costume. The slipper shoes are antique, in perfect condition, made of white leather and marked size 1 and are tied with silk ribbon. NOTE: one shoe bottom has been replaced with brown paper, the other is marked B and is original. One button hole has broken loose as well. Her stockings are white silk. Her undergarments are antique and consist of a camisole top and pantaloons.
