A wonderful and Large pink tint covered wagon antique china head doll by Kestner circa 1860. This is a big and lovely china head measures 8"x8" and is on a strong sturdy canvas body with beautiful leather arms, sewn on socks with cloth boots with tassels. She has a lovely antique dress with red/white print off the shoulders which was the style in the Civil War period. She has a gorgeous embroidered camisole with gathered lace and pantaloons. She comes with her vintage brooch as well. Bunny and basket not for sale. This is a truly wonderful doll and quite heavy. The small shoulder flaw happened in the kiln, and the person who handled her in the factory 160 years ago, left their fingerprint below the chest causing the pink tint not to take there. These minor flaws in no way affect her value as there are no hairlines or damages otherwise. Small minor hair rub in back, it rare to find a doll of the age without hair rubs as children played with them and they often rested on their backs. I am a long time collector of china head dolls and these are some of my favorites! I put a lot of love into my dolls and hope she finds a great home!
