Gatcomb 1890's 5 string open back banjo - $750 - (North Sandwich, NH)

This is a "Gatcomb Standard 20" banjo built in Boston around 1892. Serial #4872. The 11" pot and neck are original and in excellent condition. The hooks, tailpiece and friction tuners are not original. This has been professionally set up with a new skin head, new friction tuners, and neck adjustment. Low action. A heavy frailer may want a higher bridge. Comes with a new bump case as shown in the pictures.
