Hallmarks. Original parts. Exquisite brass base with four brass feet. All original parts with the exception of the new glass chimney. Circa: 1903. Founded by renown chemist Nicholas Kopp in 1901, Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company was built on Kopp’s ability to hand-mold lamps and to create an assortment of brilliant colors never seen before (like Spring Green in this listing). Kopp’s lighting-related patents were many; his “claim to fame” patent was the “SUCCESS” burner. Genius Nicholas Kopp led “Pilabrasgo” — as PLB&G Co was pronounced — to create some of the finest quality lamps and lighting in the world.
