EMIL KOSA Jr. * Train Town * Vintage Watercolor Lithograph Framed * Oscar Winner - $377 - (Bakersfield, CA)
EMIL KOSA Jr. * Train Town * Vintage Watercolor Lithograph Framed * Oscar Winner For sale today is a beautiful and rare piece from noted California artist, Emil Kosa, Jr. Kosa, who passed away in 1968, painted this beautiful watercolor entitled "Train Town" in the 1950's. The lithograph is matted and framed under glass - and is a stunning work. Since it is matted, we are unable to determine if the piece is signed, but there is a chance that it is. Kosa won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects in 1963 for his work on the classic film, "Cleopatra." Oh, and he also created the very first logo for 20th Century Fox. The piece measures 25-1/4" wide x 20-1/2" high overall (frame dimensions). The actual art measures 18-1/2" wide x 13-1/2" high. And it's beautiful. This is the good stuff. Questions? Just ask.
