This is an extremely powerful, gorgeous 5-string bass. Starting with a slim molded graphite neck, and a gorgeous body with lightweight swamp ash, the classic electric bass tonewood, this 35? scale, 24 fret (1.9? @ nut, 3.0? @ 24th fret) bass also features Res-o-lite tuners, an ABM aluminum bridge, and EMG40X pickups, with a BTS EQ (activebass/treble). The bridge pickup is the 40CSX hum bucker, and the neck pickup is the 40CSX-GG, for a deep dynamic tone. This pickup is especially made for Geoff, and is essentially a CSX hum bucker with one of the magnets removed. This gives the magnetic field of a single coil, but with the full benefit of side-to-side hum-cancelling coils. This bass, like all other G. Gould basses, also features the PLEK computerized fret mill, and plays like butter.
