Handwired Bassman 5F6A TAG Betsy Tonebuster Serial No. 00002 Tweed Covering 4x10 - $1,449 - (Cross Plains, WI)

This is serial number 0002, 4x10 Bassman clone (Betsy Tonebuster) by The Airtight Garage. It is 5F6A circuit but modded to 55 watts and more headroom. Signed both on the tag board and cabinet. As the builder Robert puts it on the TAG web page: "Betsy Tonebuster This was a 4x10 55W amp that was sort of a modded bassman. It sounded like a bassman at low volumes, but again, when cranked it did not loose articulation, accuracy, transparency, etc. It did not give up at high volumes like so many amps based on this circuit did."It is a loud, clean, clear amp, but with warmth and articulation. It was just recapped by Michael Clark of Clark Amplification, has NOS tubes, all tested, and is ready to rock. All 4 Jensen speakers in mint condition. I have two of these and found them to be the best of the USA-made handwired Bassman circuits (see pictures for the quality circuit layout). The amp is in excellent shape, mint except for small scuffs on the back panel (see last picture). I am keeping my Betsy head as a 4x10 is louder than I need.
