Vintage Rare Gibson Kalamazoo KG-11 Natural Acoustic Guitar Project! From an estate. I believe this is a KG-11 with natural top. Very few of these in the natural around, mostly the sunburst it seems! Made by Gibson, late 1930s to 1940s. Has 3 or 4 numbers stamped inside on the neck block that appear to read: 109 or 1098 or maybe different (hard to tell)! Guitar measures approx. 37 3/4" long overall and 10" wide upper bout and 14 3/4" wide lower bout. 14 frets to body. Nice top wood with bound soundhole. Bound edges around top. Guitar body has had some repair on lower right bout and a crack repaired it appears on same side as shown. Body, neck, and fretboard appear to have had a light varnish or something added at sometime, not sure. Frets and fretboard show wear from play as shown. Headstock appears to have been maybe sanded down some around the original Kalamazoo logo, not sure...a little rough there. Also, the top appears a little rough as well, maybe from sanding, not sure. Original Bent Tab tuners in good working condition as shown (maybe Waverly). Original bridge and saddle have grooves in them for strings to pass across (probably someone done this to lower action) and plastic pins added sometime...will need some work here, maybe new saddle at least. Will need new strings of course. Please take a look at pictures and email with any questions. Maybe somewhat playable as is with action at the 14th fret measuring approx. 3/16". Note that this will take some work to make it a fine player. Slight "V" profile neck nice and tight to body. These are nice and lightweight acoustics with tremendous sound for blues or other styles!
