1930s Vintage Gibson Kalamazoo KG-11 - $1,450 - (Sonoma, CA)
In the early days of Gibson acoustic guitar making in my native Kalamazoo, Michigan, Gibson also offered a line of guitars under the "Kalamazoo" brand. It's rare to find a 1930s Kalamazoo KG-11 dreadnought mini jumbo in such good condition. Well cared for and recently serviced, this treasure sounds delightful just like the chimey tones heard on Robert Johnson's blues recordings from this period. The original tuners are worn and are included in the case - they've been replaced with fine replicas. This baby will delight any blues or country picker for a lifetime to come. The neck is 100% straight and true. The action at the 12th fret is 3/8" and the intonation is true. This one's a keeper out of the box. Comes with newer plush lined hardshell case (I never sell or ship guitars without a proper case).
