HUGE 20 inch ANTIQUE German teddy bear Sweet old fellow Strunz or Steiff - $950 - (Macon, GA)
Introducing...Will! He is a stunning ANTIQUE German made bear from the early 1900's. Will measures a very rare large 20 inches and is made of absolutely gorgeous golden mohair. His head alone measures a huge 9 inches from ear to ear and 6 inches from back of head to nose. He is a big old fellow! He has the sweetest expression I have ever seen on a teddy! This wonderful old bear is of German origin and I was told he was made by Strunz, which was a company competing with Steiff at the time. He is of very high quality and makes a gorgeous display. He comes with a newly added ribbon and flower around his neck, as well. Will is in wonderful condition for his age. He does have some minor spots on his paw pad and some balding, plus an area on his right foot where his fabric is wearing thin, so please see the photos, but none of these take away from his absolute charm and are typical in a bear of his age. He was obviously very well loved and cared for during his time! He comes from a smoke-free home ...perfect for a collection of antique dolls, bears or photographs! Will has been in my collection for a long time and I am selling him at a bargain starting price in order to pay some bills. Payment is due within three days of the end of the auction.
