ERPHILA GERMANY ANTIQUE CAT TEAPOT G100 - $50 - (Clayton, WA)

Condition is great with only very minimal wear or use. Some discoloration in the bottom shows someone has used it a little but not much. No chips or cracks. The colors are lovely and the finish shows some light crazing. Bright green eyes. Marked on the bottom. The teapot was produced by a German manufacturer during the 1920s or 30s, and features a black and white cat wearing a pink ribbon around its neck. The tail forms the handle, and the cat’s front paws come together to form the spout. The label on the base reads “Erphila Germany”, meaning it was produced after 1920 but before the Second World War (after which all were labeled “made in US Zone Germany). Almost 9" tall and 8-9" from spout to handle.
