English Prattware Molded Pitcher circa early 19th Century - $185 - (Mariposa, CA)

Early 19th Century English pottery pitcher with molded design in colors that are known as Pratt type colors, or Prattware. The pitcher has a central band of raised grapes and grape leaves, naturally colored with blue/purple grapes and green leaves. The raised molding is exceptionally detailed, showing individual grapes and fine veins in the leaves. Below the band is a wave pattern picked out in blue and orange, above the band is blue and orange pattern of curved lines. A great example of Prattware in excellent condition, with only some very minor glaze rubs. 4 1/2" high.
