Rare Handmade Freshwater Pearl Vest - $889 - (Downers Grove, IL)

This is a unique one of a kind, varied handmade vest knotted, containing approximately 1,020 cultured fresh water (biwa) pearls, 5.0mm in size to 3.0mm in size. The pearls are v sl green white rose and pinkish red(died) in color with a medium luster, thin nacre, semi-broque, spotted and uniformity is fair. Purchased in China, and watched it being made. It is a size small. The vest measures approximately 17" x 12", with approximately 1,020 fresh water pearls in the vest. Color of the photographs is relative and not exact. The vest comes with the appraisal done in 1997 (see images), and was insurable at that time at $1,120.00. The vest has been covered and stored for many years.
