This listing is for a fully functional, BATTERY OPERATED CHEF COOK w/box as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in perfect working condition. Colors are clear & bright. Litho & plastic parts are excellent. Clothing is nice and clean. Displays exceptionally well. No corrosion anywhere. Battery compartment is mint as are the connections. The 6 correct actions of this toy are as follows: (1) Stove top lights up red, (2) Left hand salts the pan, (3) Right hand shakes the pan in a sideways motion, (4) Body continuously sways from side to side, (5) CHEF makes a squeaking sound, (6) Right hand flips the pan to flip the food over...( original tin litho egg/ham is included ) Process is then repeated. Very neat! This is an awesome toy sure to delight everyone who sees it in action. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 135. It is a 1950's era toy made by the Yonezawa Y Co. The original box and inserts are included. The box is in very good-excellent condition. Displays very well. This would make a great addition to your collection.
