More photos available. This Shirley Temple doll was purchased in 1935 when the movie "Curly Top" came out. Original family owner. The doll has always been stored in a smoke free environment, and since 1978 in a humidity controlled environment. The condition seems to be pretty good. Joints and sleep eyes work and there is minimal smudging of dust or dirt. There is a small line mark on one of the legs that could be a pen mark. There is crazing on the back (see photo). I could not remove the dress as the buttons are sewn in, but the body seems to be in good condition without any mold or unusual smell. One shoe is in need of a drop of glue at the heel of the sole. I did not want to clean or restore any part of the doll so it may be evaluated in its original condition. The doll has all the original socks and shoes, dress, undergarment, ribbon, hair, etc. and still cute as can be. Please ask any questions you might have before purchase.
