Hitty Canopy Bed - Vintage Style like Hitty's Original Bed of 1930 with Bedding - $245 - (Spring Lake, MI)
This auction Includes the Bed, Curtain, Mattress, Pillow, Bedspread, and Quilt, as shown in the last two photos (The Hitty Doll is NOT INCLUDED). This bed was patterned & scaled from doll magazine photos of Hitty's original bed (see the photos above for comparison). The bed has a rope mattress support like the original. It has small curtain rods behind the front & rear of the canopy to hold the removable curtain. The bed is solid Oak with Maple spindles, and has a Maple color finish. It is 7” wide, 9.5” long, and 9.25” tall. The bed can be displayed with the quilt & bedspread as shown in the first photo. It can also be displayed with the bedspread or quilt by themselves as shown in other photos. The quilt is reversible as shown in the last two photos. The original bed in the photos, was given to Rachael Field in 1930 by a plantation owner.
