Louis Reymond 18K Gold Pocket Watch - $2,000 - (Benton Harbor, MI)
This is a beautiful old pocket watch from somewhere in the mid to late 1800s. It is a key wind and adjust watch that seems to run and adjust fine. It has a case that is marked as 18kt gold and has a few dings and scratches from use over the years, but the engraving is still beautiful on the case. Louis Reymond was a watchmaker from the Locle region of Switzerland and from what I have read, made some very good watches. http://stalkingthebelleepoque.blogspot.com/2011/09/precious-time-louis-reymond-watch-1860.html Watch works are marked: L Reymond, Locle, Fast Slow Watch case is marked: Front: State Stamp of Neuchatel for Carat 18 Gold, 299 Rear:State Stamp of Neuchatel for Carat 18 Gold, 6, 46299 Inner Cover: N46299 Louis Reymond, Locle Watch face is marked: Louis Reymond, Locle It seems to run, but is not guaranteed to work or keep time on arrival to you.
