Vintage 60's Zuni Turquoise Concho Belt Sterling Silver by Quam PRICE REDUCED! - $3,599 - (Carmichael, CA)
Beautifully color matched darker turquoise (probably from Lone Mountain according to the appraiser) purchased by my client's aunt in the 1950's or early 1960's. There are twelve petit point silver designed conchos and each one is linked together with sterling silver rings. The belt is 35" long and in excellent condition. The owner and her mother were told for insurance purposes to engrave their driver's license numbers on the back of each concho, which they did. They are very faint. Appraisal done in 2002 confirms Zuni origin and attributes the design to the Quam family.
