Alaskan artist Bill C Ray 1980 Limited Edition Stone Lithograph "Skan-doo" 50/50 - $419 - (La Quinta, CA)

Bill C. Ray (1951-) was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. Upon completing a hitch in the US Navy that followed his graduation from the US Naval Academy, Ray returned to Juneau and made his living painting and print-making for more than a decade. As a locally and regionally popular artist his work bore a strong Alaskan theme. During this period he worked primarily with charcoal and oil, also using acrylics, pen and ink and stone lithography. Subsequently he moved to Germany where he pursued his art career for several more decades. A more detailed biography is available at www.billray.info. As private collectors and relatives of the artist we purchased four copies of all of his stone lithographs. This print was executed in 1980 and sold out quickly. It depicts a native healer with a patient and two attendants. In was printed on 18” x 24” paper. Please see the certificate for further details. This print is in pristine condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is shrink-wrapped using acid free shrink-wrap and foam board.
