This delightful gesso carved group of cherubs dates from circa 1900 and measures an impressive 34" tall, 24" wide and 16" deep. Depicted is a cherub spilling water from an urn with another cherub drinking from a shell. Its design and exceptional construction suggest it comes from the studio of a master, such as Henri Dasson of Paris. There are no hallmarks. It features a faux marble giltwood pedestal. ha-415.
