You can mow with 1, 2 or all 3 decks. the blades are all in good shape. i traded for the mower and it is too big for my use. This mower would be a money maker for someone in the lawn care business. It makes short work of large fields or lawns with acreage. The mowing season is almost here. The mower has some cosmetic issues. One of the pulleys has a loose bearing, i mowed about 3 acres before I even noticed it, and one of the deck wheels needs tightened up. The deck covers are missing, there is some rust on the decks from sitting grass being left on it, no big holes but some pinholes here and there. there are various dents and scratches from use over the years. It is priced to reflect this. These mowers sold for about $67,000 new. Tractor dealers are asking $9,000-$19,000 for used units. The 4000-D Wide-Area Mower is designed to handle large areas full of inclines, dips and hard to reach places. Can mow up to 10.6 acres of lawn per hour, however average with trimming is 5 - 8 acres. Great for trimming. The mower is equipped with a very strong running 57-hp liquid-cooled Kubota diesel engine with turbo. Starts and runs great. Available four-wheel drive, hydrostatic transmission, with hi and low range and power steering. This mower has 3 floating rotary decks, has 7 blades which are in very good condition, Cuts a total of 11 feet.. The decks are rear discharge. All 3 decks pivot and float to the ground counter, to eliminate scalping. The cutting height is 1" to 5". They deliver quality cut The decks are raised and lowered by hydraulics. The machine has about 4600 hrs. I am selling this machine for about what you would pay for one non-running for parts and it functions well, all systems work, and it mows great.
