Haliotis rufescens 114.3mm (4.5") Amazing Corals Colored Abalone Shell Vintage 60's Collection This magnificent specimen is from a private collection recently aquired from an estate sale. This collector began collecting his shells in the early 50's and continued for many years. The Photos are of the actual shell for sale. The shell is in excellent condition. Keep in mind seashells are not man made items and will have naturally occurring imperfections, flaws, chips, scars and color variations. Some more than others depending on its nature and areas of habitation. This abalone shell has beautiful rays of coral colors fanning out like the rays of the sun. It has all the classic coloring and body shaping particular to its genus. Another exquisite example of their species. A wonderful addition for the serious collector.
