This is a new, without the original box, GOLD CENTURY GC-1020 Metal Detector and Original Owner's Manual. This detector was purchased new, but never used and is in new condition - original price paid was $179.00 plus tax. NOTE: The Owner's Manual has a couple of ink scribbles on the cover but it is still folded, just as it came in the box - folds/marks hanve NO affect on the contents - but is noted here for the record. GC-1020 requires 2 DC 9V batteries for operation which are NOT included. The GC-1020 detector is designed for hunting coins, relics, jewelry, gold and silver---just about anywhere--even underwater. It's design is lightweight, versatile and easy to use with great features. Note: The shaft extends and shortens to allow all ages/sizes to enjoy treasure hunting. The GC-1020 weighs a well-built, but lightweight for use 3 pounds and features: LDC display - shows the probable type of metal with an arrow, the depth of the target, DISC/NOTCH range, the level of SENS with segment, the operation mode and low battery indication. Three Tone Audio Discrimination - sounds distinctive tones for different types of metal. Notch - ignores junk metal and finds valuable items by setting the disc and notch range. Super Slow Sweep Identification - with a very slow sweep of the search coil to discriminate different types of metal.
