Complete Set 12 Vintage 1962 Fanta Birds of Africa Plastic Premium Figures - $150 - (Potomac, IL)

Group of coveted and extremely scarce vintage 1962 hard plastic Birds of Africa Fanta soda (Coca Cola Co.) promotional hard plastic premium figures. Following the success of the earlier 1961 Animals of Africa campaign, Coca Cola launched this series of Birds of Africa in 1962 initiated on the island of Mauritius. This complete set of 12 figures are slightly larger in scale than the animal series but much scarcer on the secondary market for collectors. Each of the figures are marked on the base 'Fanta' and numbered and include: Hammercock, Ground Hornbill, Blue Crane, Greater Flamingo, Lappet-faced Vulture, Guinea Fowl, Ostrich, Secretary Bird, Black Eagle, Marabou Stork, Black Korhaan, and Egyptian Goose. All are in good condition with minor wear and no damage. PAYMENT: Payment must be received within 5 days of sending invoice.
