1930'S Gibson Style 2 Mahogany Soprano Ukulele W/ Orig End Loader Case - $475 - (Roanoke, IN)
Welcome To Trader-Bobs Ebay Auctions. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a professional ebay seller. I have been involved in retail sales for over 40 years, the largest portion, of these years, having been my own successful retail auto sales / parts / repair business, which I started from scratch. I take your satifaction, AS A BUYER, VERY SERIOUSLY! If there is a problem with this item you have purchased from me, I want to hear about it FIRST, before feedback is left! So that the problem can be resolved. Thenextitemwehaveontheblockis,,,,,,,,,,, "Trader-BOB's MUSIC" on facebook, OFFERS A 1930's "The Gibson" Style 2, Soprano Mahogany Ukulele, with it's original end loading case. Made in Kalamazoo MI. Someone has removed the "The Gibson" logo from the headstock, and refinished the instrument, (it appears to be an older refinish, there are age cracks in it). A knowledgeable ebayer has led me down the trail of new information on this uke. THANK YOU. Comparing this one to many Style 2 Gibson's I found on the internet, the distinctive Gibson features are; the peghead / headstock design / shape, the three tiny round fret markers at 5,7,& 10, the distinctive design rosette around the soundhole, the multilayer (3) binding on the front, the shape of the body, the distinctive design of the bridge / saddle, and the original "End loader" case. All the features are distinctive to Gibson ukuleles, of the 1930's. The fretboard has 17 frets, I am told that this was a rare feature on this ukulele. Tunes up nice CGEA, resonates well. Very well made, and detailed. Some wear marks, and dings. The case is in great shape. I have made a new leather hinge for it, split riveted on, as the original was fastened. The original was rotted away. There are many examples of Gibson Style 2 Ukes on the internet to compare this one to. What you are buying here is one of the best made, best brand ukes, and a great player, for a fraction of the collectible value, because of the lack of a decal. ******
