Toshiba HD-XA2 HD-DVD Player (VG Condition, Remote, Manuals, & NEW Spare Laser) - $110 - (Joliet, IL)
Even though I've been retired for some years now, I just don't and really never have watched many movies. I'm updating my music system and this unit just takes up too much precious space in my rack. This player was purchased used, some years ago, from an AV installer, who had just completed a rather large home theater upgrade for a client. He had three of these (Low Hour) units for sale. All of them had Serial #'s within ten digits of each other. The unit works fine and was updated with Version V4.0 firmware (Most Recent) and the update disc and instructions are included. It really is in excellent cosmetic condition. The entire front face plate is near perfect. The top cover and side plates have several minor marks. These digital photos seem to show the defects (and dust) far more pronounced than they really are. The top cover (Photos #3 & #4) show minor scratches, all of which were on the unit when I bought it. This cover is made of Black Anodized Brushed Aluminum and is quite easy to scratch. The finned extruded aluminum side plates have marks (Photo #5) on each side. It is my guess that these were made by some sort of rack mount hold down bracket, as they are in the same location on each side.
