ESP Ltd D-4, 4-string electric bass in Merbau (Indonesian mfg.) - $250 - (Rockford, IL)

This is a really clean ESP Ltd, D-4 electric, 4-string bass in Merbau (a form of mahogany). There is no buckle rash and very little handling wear. There is one tiny chip of damage at the very tip of the tuning head and a flaw on the upper body spur (see final pic), but it originated from the factory with this flaw. All furniture, in Cosmo Black chrome, and electronics are original. Some of the small controls and their potentiometers are a bit wonky (they need some mechanical adjustment), but it was also from the factory like this and they do work properly. It has original electronics with a humbucking pickup at both neck and bridge. The observant will already have made note of the fact that it is mis-matched to a Peavey hard-case, but this hard-case at least nominally fits the bass, is good for ORDINARY transportation and comes with the bass. It shall also be packed appropriately in order to prevent deleterious movements of the instrument within the case during shippingt. Needless to say, although you'll notice that I'm saying it anyhow, hard-cases are easy enough to replace if you eBay. With it's minor flaws to one side, it's a very, very nice bass to play which I have taken very good care of. Neck through body construction with the option of either mounting the strings directly on the bridge or stringing them through the body. Please Note - it might need the intonation redone once you get it. Happy playing, fellow bassists!!
