1798 $1 SMALL EAGLE, 13 STARS PCGS AU53 - $30,000 - (Norfolk, VA)

Very scarce in grades above XF45 and extremely scarce in all AU grades. This 13 star Redbook variety has one of the best strikes I've seen on this issue. Bold hair details with fully formed stars giving it the appearance of a higher grade. Light to medium patina increases the eye appeal. CDN AU50 = 23k and CU list for AU53 at 40k.
