All the markings would seem to be appropriate and present and match the others we have observed and seen listed here, as well as at other auctions. This one has been cleaned and polished so all of its markings can be photographed and seen, and in so some of its, really old appearance, has been lost. The blade has been very well preserved like some of the Cavalry cutlasses we are seeing at auction these days. PLEASE NOTE- PLEASE READ AND ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT ITEMS BEFORE YOU BUY.
