Autographed Cabinet Card, not cdv of Union Colonel of the 18th Pa Cavalry from 12/62-12/64. Previously served in the Regular Army and the 12th Mass Vols from 6/61-10/62. he commanded the regiment in many actions including Gettysburg and eventually resigned due to ill health and dysentery in 1864. Graduated from West Point in 1855. . Condition as seen.
