Antique Chinese Black Lacque Wedding Basket w/Porcelain Insert,circa 1880 - $200 - (Eugene, OR)

Antique Chinese Black Lacque Wedding Basket with hand enameled Porcelain Insert decorated with Pink flowers on the yellow background, circa 1880. The sides of the basket are hand painted with traditional scroll. The wooden basket consists of 3 parts, all in good for the age condition. There are several places with the loss of wood and black color paint on the edges. Please look at the pictures. The enamel porcelain Insert is in perfect condition. It measures 9" tall with the handles, 6.6" tall, 8.5"L, 4.5" W. This Basket was a part of private Antique Chinese collection.
