Vintage Needlepoint Burlap Rooster throw Pillow 15x15 French Country Primitive - $50 - (West Van Lear, KY)
This is a 15x15 Mid Century handmade Needlepoint Burlap pillow from the 1970's. There is some loose threading around the border & a small rip in burlap on the back. See pictures. The needlework Pattern is from Sears. Pattern says makes a 16x16 Pillow, but considering the thick pillow stuffing used has made it 15x15. There is a zipper on back side to change out the pillow stuffing. Beautiful threaded needlework and Yarn Feathers is what makes up this Rooster. Pillow does have a bit of a musty scent. I have eliminated some of the odor but I would recommend steam cleaning it or spraying it with some white vinegar. Pillow would go great with your country or primitive decor.
