Easy and actually fun to assemble. I used up the small bottle of white glue they provided and added some of my own carpenter's glue. No problem there.I decided to follow their suggestion if you didn't want to do nothing to the table and let it go gray. I applied four coats of spar marine varnish (I chose a semi-gloss finish) over the same number of days. A light sanding between coats and this table shines with a light honey color ... with the growth rings at the ends of the logs and all the knots popping.
